June 20 2009 – Jen D'Angelo

Diego Mannino's official art beginnings started in his senior year of high school when he attended some art courses at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California. After moving to San Francisco in the spring of 1994 he started his formal education at San Francisco State University in the film dept. After two years of fighting over basic art courses he proceeded to drop out and enroll at San Francisco Community College where he finished his associates degree. In the spring of 2000 Diego Mannino started at the California College of Arts and Crafts where he majored in Illustration. For part time work he freelanced as an Illustrator for EA Games doing video game mapping and illustration.

After graduating in 2003 Diego Mannino worked as a freelance Illustrator for two years getting editorial work as well as commissions. Through out that time he has also also exhibited work in art galleries in San Francisco in such places as 111 Minna, Juice Gallery, On Six Gallery, and The Bootling Gallery in Oakland. In January of 2005 Diego Mannino started a new career in tattooing which continues to this day. Currently he works at Picture Machine Tattoo in the Richmond district of San Francisco as well as Pop’s Old Town Tattoo in Vallejo California.
