The Shorty Jacket is a Nooworks take on a classic and timeless outerwear piece!
One of our favorite local designers Liz Thayer aka Claflin Thayer, & Co. has the sweetest shop with the most perfect custom jackets, one of those jackets is The Shorty Jacket. It’s our dream jacket, so we licensed her pattern and graded it up to 5x and made it in our beautiful prints!
The fit is reminiscent of your favorite vintage jean jacket that you've worn to perfection. Cut from our sturdy twill, it’s collared and cropped at the waist and sleeves. It features brass buttons up the front, plenty of pockets and contrast stitching. Also has a bonus hidden inside chest pocket!
We also thought it would be so cute paired with our Twill shorts that we made a little set! These shorts are high waisted with plenty of pockets so it's a perfect match.
A note about our overdyed black twill: Due to the nature of the dye used in this product, the color may bleed, crock, or fade onto light colored fabrics or upholstery. Wash before wear, and wash garment separately until no further color is released. Review our detailed care instructions below to see how to best care for this garment.

+ 97% Cotton / 3% Lycra
+ Wash separately until no further color is released; Wash this garment by itself for the first few washes, or with other dark colors, to avoid staining other clothes. Avoid wearing this garment with light colored clothing, upholstery, car seats, etc.
+ Use cold water; Cold water is gentler on dyes and reduces the risk of bleeding. Hot water can also cause twill to shrink.
+ Turn inside out. Turning your garment inside out can help prevent the dye from running too much.
+ Add vinegar; White vinegar contains acetic acid, which can help lock in dye and prevent bleeding. You can add a cup of vinegar to the cold water rinse, or soak the garment in a sink or bathtub filled with cold water and vinegar for up to overnight.
+ Skip the dryer altogether to avoid clothing breaking down. Hang dry this garment instead.
+ This garment was sustainably made in California from start to finish 🌈

We measure each of our garments by hand, laying flat. Our 8 oz stretch twill is our heavier weight fabric, but still has a soft hand-feel and a small amount of stretch for an all around comfortable fit. It stretches to give about an extra inch on the body. Be sure to consult the size chart below to find the best fit for you!
