meet the artist: JUDIT CANELA

Judit Canela is an illustrator based in Barcelona, Catalonia. She graduated in Audiovisual Communication at Pompeu Fabra University before turning decisively toward illustration, a passion that has accompanied her since childhood. After completing a postgraduate program in Editorial Design and further training at BAU, she developed a clear and refined graphic voice.

Her work is inspired by the world around her, both from her travels as well as her mindful approach to everyday life — the juxtaposed colors of Lisbon, puffy clouds against a soft sky, the way seaweed moves under water. Beauty is everywhere. In addition to her work as an artist, Elizabeth is also a big believer in the power of creativity and play in all aspects of life.
