meet the artist: Camila Leão

Raised between the energy of São Paulo and the calm of Brazil's Atlantic Forest, Camila Leão developed a deep connection to nature and movement. Her work blends tropical color palettes with contemporary graphic composition and a strong sense of public space. Influenced by Brazilian folk art, punk music, and street culture, she works across illustration, fine art, murals, and large-scale public art.

Camila has created projects across the United States and internationally, participating in festivals including Secret Walls, NoMa in Color, and Sunny Dayz Mural Festival. In 2024, she received a Baltimore County Executive Citation for her contributions to public art. Her work has been featured in AARP and Baltimore Magazine, and recent collaborations include Geometry House, the Washington Nationals, and the poster for Lollapalooza Brasil 2026.

When she isn't creating, she's usually collecting visual references from vintage books, listening to music, exploring new natural places, or spending time with her dogs.
