The joyful, colorful world of Dirty Clouds is illustrated by prolific Oakland artist Jesse Lortz. These shining, smiling creatures celebrate the expansive and ever-changing energies of unconditional love in the universe.

“This Dirty Clouds Flowers artwork is inspired by elements of my childhood: a hand-me-down day-glo pillowcase covered in blooming, trippy flowers in pink, yellow, and orange; a pair of oversized homemade pants constructed from neon floral fabric from Thrift Center; E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial hidden in plain sight among a closet filled with stuffed animals.”

Lortz is currently expanding the Dirty Clouds universe through a science fiction soap opera–style comic for adults, alongside risographed Dirty Clouds cards, zines, and comic strips—bringing these characters to life across print and storytelling.
